The Division of Urogynecology in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Alberta is currently accepting applications for a two-year
Urogynecology Wellness Program Fellowship, beginning in July 2011.
The broad educational objective is to train academic urogynecology reconstructive pelvic surgeons who will play a role in advancing the subspecialty of urogynecology.
Fellows will learn to care for women with complex tertiary-care urogynecology disorders. In addition, fellows will have opportunities to advance skills in medical education and research related to urogynecology. Fellows will function as junior faculty, and will be integrated into the teaching and research programs of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Preference will be given to graduates of Canadian medical programs who intend to pursue and are eligible for an academic position in a tertiary centre in Canada.
