MD Program

​The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta offers undergraduate courses and clinical clerkships under the supervision of academic and clinical faculty members. As a department with a strong clinical focus, we are dedicated to the education of competent and caring physicians.
 
Clinical rotations are undertaken at four affiliated hospitals in the Edmonton area: Royal Alexandra Hospital, Grey Nuns Hospital, Misericordia Hospital and Sturgeon Community Hospital.

Conditions: To be offered annually to a graduating student for outstanding merit in obstetrics & gynecology in the third and fourth years, providing that the GPA of the student in the courses in these subjects is 3.3 or higher.

J. Ross Vant Prize in Obstetrics

Conditions: To be awarded annually to the graduating student with the highest academic standing and best all-round performance in obstetrics & gynecology.
